Sourced from selected coconut husks, each block is washed with clean fresh water to remove excess sodium and salts, providing a low EC substrate with superior moisture retention and aeration. Available in sizes ranging from handy 250g bricks to high-volume 5kg blocks, our coir provides an optimal root environment for high-yield crop production.
* Raw Material Sourcing: High-grade, mature coconut husks are collected and processed into uniform coir pith/fibers.
* Sieving & Filtering: Raw coir is passed through mechanical mesh sieves to remove fine sand, excess dust, and unwanted fiber strands.
* Triple Freshwater Washing: The coir undergoes extensive freshwater washing to leach out naturally occurring sodium and potassium salts, driving the Electrical Conductivity (EC) down to < 0.5 mS/cm.
* Sun Drying: The washed substrate is spread out on clean concrete drying yards to achieve a moisture level of 10% to 15%.
* Compacting & Packaging: The dried coir is fed into hydraulic presses to form 250g bricks or 5kg blocks, ready for palletization and bulk shipment.
Potting Coir (also known as coco coir or coco peat) is a natural, sustainable growing medium made from processed coconut husks. When prepared as a hydroponic substrate, it provides an ideal balance of aeration, moisture retention, and structural support for root development.
